I am not a drinker of instant, but I would say add enough to the cup with water not quite at the boiling stage. Boiling on instant can make it bitter. My ex husband used to always add a half shot of Wild Turkey to his Nescafe, he and his roommate in the air force said it made the perfect cup that way.
Are you talking about instant coffee? I’m sorry, there’s no way to make that stuff palatable.

Always use freshly boiled water.Do not boil the water for a long time.
