I agree as does the writer of this web page….

"Starbucks must be banking on the theory that the people who buy its coffee don’t just need coffee, they need Starbucks coffee, which packs a higher caffeine punch than many competitors. The Wall Street Journal earlier this year sent samples of coffee from Starbucks, 7-Eleven, and Dunkin’ Donuts to Central Analytical Laboratories. The lab reported that a 16-ounce Starbucks house blend coffee contained 223 milligrams of caffeine, compared with 174 and 141 milligrams in comparable amounts of Dunkin’ Donuts and 7-Eleven coffee, respectively. According to the Journal, the average Starbucks coffee drink contains 320 milligrams of caffeine. (This chart from the Center for Science in the Public Interest shows different measurement levels, including the scary finding that a 16-ounce Starbucks grande has nearly three times as much caffeine as a No-Doz.) We don’t have either of those places where i live, so for me Starbucks rocks.

  • kymmy_kins:

You know, McDonald’s has good coffee too. Gevalia is not bad either. I think most people like Starbucks for all the flavored stuff and the ambiance….not necessarily the coffee.

    I really like Caribou Coffee.

  • Peatea:

I don’t like starbucks at all. I’m pretty partial to Tim Hortons – it’s only in Canada and parts of NY, so when I’m not in a place with Tim Hortons I prefer Dunkin’ Donuts.

  • JSAL21:

I dont get coffee at 7 eleven. but i boycott starbucks, i go to local brewers around town. I stay away from all chains. But when im working we just brew it inhouse. just like everything else we do. inhouse books, inhouse reporting, inhouse statistical analysis, go f*ck yourself boss man,.. im not your personal inhouse bitch.

I hate that over priced, bitter stuff that Starbucks sells!! 7 ELEVEN is pretty good, but the best coffee comes from McDonalds (believe it or not)!!! And, you can’t beat their prices!!!

  • connected95:

You gotta try Tim Hortons……I think theyre only in the north though. (based in Canada) But there are alot in the states

  • kitty:

    thank heaven….for 7-11
didn’t maurice chevalier sing that in ‘gigi’ ?

  • xyz:

Your opinion,"everybody" if you like to pay those high prices for tainted coffee..

  • David H:

I agree on both parts, I am the type of person who likes to control the amount of milk, cream and sugar I put in a Starbucks or Tim Hortons they make the determination of there idea of the correct amounts.

I also buy both 8 o’clock and Bokar, here in Canada we have them and I mix them and I have a home grinder and do mine for each pot, that is the secret, as the coffee breaks down and the flavour is released once it is ground, even if in a tin or container, I also freeze my beans, the oils will not go rancid as fast.

  • Duffman:

Wrong on both accounts. The best coffee available is at a little convenience store called WAWA (located primarly in the mid-atlantic states, PA,NJ,DE). For those of you who don’t know, Wawa simply wipes the floor of 7-11, not only in terms of coffee quality but in terms of everything else as well! (Want a hoagie @ 4am??? you got it!!)

  • Lisset:

I’m always telling folks the same thing!!! 7-11 coffee is far tastier. MMMmmm French Vanilla and Hazelnut flavored coffee, made the way I want, for a third of the price of overrated Starbucks. :)

  • Little Sexy Devil:

I HATE Starbucks coffee! I think it tastes horrible and is way over priced. I like Circle K’s coffee, and 7- eleven coffee. With some chocolate creamer; yummy! I have not tried that Eight O’clock coffee yet, but will have to try it soon.

  • kavekarst:

You might be correct. Which seems to have the high end customer and with which would you prefer to be seen or associated with? My nearest 7-11 seems to have a polite
crew that could be illegal aliens serving dime counting walk-in’s and local cops chill at the Starbucks with pert staff who talk like university students.
