How much water and coffee needed to make 1 shot of espresso using a home machine?
The instructions on my machine are very confusing. On the glass carafe, it has markings for 2 cups and 4 cups. But, making 2 cups is more than a shot, which is supposed to be 1-1.5 oz, right? The 2 cup mark is like 5 oz of liquid. Should I cut back on the water and coffee just to make 1 shot, even though there isn’t any markings? I have a Mr. Coffee machine; I know, REALLY cheap, but it was a gift. Thanks in advance!

Can all cappucinno machine used for making lattes?
I am looking for a coffee machine to makes espresso, cappucino and lattes at the same time. However, most machines I come across only make espresso and cappucinno. And I understand that the steps to makes cappucinno and lattes are quite similar. So can I use a cappucinno maker to make lattes too?
Transfer the electric plug from a french one to a us/canada good one for a espresso machine?
I bought a Nespresso machine (Krups Citiz) for the year a pass in Paris. Now I’m going back home to Canada. I love my Nespresso machine and I’d prefer being able to bring it back then buying a new one at home (they a way more expensive). The problem is the electric system is of course not the same. But since nowadays, company try to cut cost by making power adapter compatible everywhere, I was wandering if that could be the case with this coffee machine.

How do I make coffee in an American machine?
Hi, this will seem very silly to many of you, but I’m an Aussie girl staying in a US hotel and I have NO IDEA how you work a drip coffee machine. Would somebody have the time to help me? It seems to be the standard one I’ve seen in your movies – heat at the base, pyrex clear container above that, then a plastic container. I have figured out that water goes down when I put it together, but do I need to heat the water beforehand? Where is the coffe packet supposed to go? I’m lost. We use plungers or espresso machines at home.

Espresso Machine Waters Down The Coffee Ground?
I got an espresso machine for Christmas(woo!) and have drank way too many shots over the course of the past few days trying to refine my espresso making skills … unfortunately, I think they got worse!
I have the "Espressione 1329 Café Roma" (I will link to it at the bottom). My problem is this … if it even is a problem … I grid the coffee beans, put them in the coffee-ground-holder-thing and tamp it down. I press the espresso button and wait as the water is filtered through and produces espresso. Yay!. issue is, the coffee grounds in the filter thing are heavily watery and I am pretty sure they should not be so …
A) Is this a bad thing?
B) What does the watery status of the coffee grounds do to the quality of the shots?
Thanks!
-Josh

Can you buy Nescafe Dolce Gusto coffee capsules in Australia?
I am currently living in France but am moving to Australia next month. I would like to take my Nescafe Dolce Gusto coffee machine with me but I am not sure if I can buy the coffee capsules in Australia. Does anyone know if it is possible to buy them there, or if it is possible to buy them in bulk and have them delivered within Australia?

Is it possible to run morning glory seeds through espresso machine?
WE’ve got some money Heavenly Blue morning glory seeds. My friend gets sick as hell from the shells though. NOw we put them in a coffee grinder, then gel tabs, then swollow them. But now we have a better idea…
Would it be possible to take the powdered seeds, place them in a high powered coffee machine (more like espresso machine) and get the chemicals like that? would it work?
any other ideas that dont involve ether would be great too.
Thanks,
steve
the place I get them from doesn’ coat them. all natural. www.iamshamin.com
but I wash them anyway. the gel tabs are really just a tiney piece of digestable plastic. so they release immediately. I hate the taste of chewing them. anyone tried the tea method?
