How do I clean the coffee stains out of my coffee pot?
My coffee pot is starting to look pretty bad. I thought about putting some lime cleaner in there, but I really don’t want to drink lime cleaner remants in my next cup of coffee. There must be some effective way to clean a coffee pot. Any suggestions?
What makes a good cup of coffee?
Now I enjoy a cup or two here and there. After receiving an espresso machine and a deluxe coffee maker as wedding gifts, I find myself wondering if I’ve been drinking so-so coffee for a long time.
In your opinion, what makes a great cup of coffee great?
Do you get special beans?
Do you grind them yourself?
Do you insist on a certain method of preparation?
I’m interested in everyone’s views on this topic, because I’d like to learn more about how to make an even better cup-o-java.
Thanks!

How can I make a espresso shot?
I recently purchased a Delongui espressso machine, Cost me 150 dollars, it is the most basic. I research so much to make sure I would find something good.
Now the espresso shot does not come out like a espresso shot more like a watery cup of coffee?
Also is it suppose to stop on its own, or do I shut it off once the shot is fulfilled if I get a shot to happen. please help!

How much caffeine is in a single shot of espresso?
Most websites outline the amount of caffeine in a an cup of coffee and an cup of espresso. It’s never quite clear if the cup of coffee is the same size as a cup of espresso.
Does coffee go bad or start to taste funny after a while?
I have a couple of cans of coffee on my shelf that are opened and have probably been there for at least a year or more. Can these go bad, or start to taste different? I had a cup of coffee recently and it tasted horrible. I had never cleaned the coffe pot so I am doing that now. But could it have also been the coffee?
Can I use a stovetop espresso maker to brew regular coffee?
I have a stovetop espresso maker, but I want to use it to brew one to two cups of coffee with my "regular" coffee beans. I don’t want to use my big electric coffee maker to make a cup of coffee.
Where do you get the best cup of coffee?
Where do you get the best cup of coffee?
Starbucks? Seattles Best? Figaro? Coffee Break?
What is the best coffee maker on the market? Which one makes the best tasting coffee?
And how can I make a good cup of coffee with the one I have? : (
I have a Mr. Coffee but the coffee never tastes that great I thought it was the coffee brands that I was buying but I don’t think so because I’ve tried just about all of the ones on the market!!!
I am talking about the coffee machine.
Coffee, Can the average person taste the difference?
Can the average person taste the difference of a high end cup of coffee. I am going to rule out McDonald’s and Dunkin’ Donuts and refer to the more exotic blends from your Starbucks and Caribou’s and other Specialty Coffee Shops. Can a person discern between Sumatran and Columbian, Kona and Ethiopian, or is good coffee just that, good coffee? I realize there are "super tasters" and "coffee snobs", but I am refering to the average "Joe" so to speak, can they really tell the difference? Cheers!
between a 700 dollar espresso coffee machine and a french press, which one would yield a richer, stronger,?

How to use my espresso machine…?
Ok, so here’s the deal.
I have an espresso machine, it used to be my mom’s and she gave it to me just recently. It’s several years old and hasn’t been used in a while, which I don’t think really matters as long as it’s clean. I ran some water through it to clean it out… but now I don’t honestly know HOW to use it. lol.
I would put my coffee in it but I’m worried if I do it wrong I’ll just waste coffee. PLUS I see people making a big deal out of the pods, which is actually what I THINK I have. They’re espresso roast "individually packaged ground coffee" packets with a little (I’m guessing) pod from Starbucks that my aunt and mom bought me and my roommate as a house warming gift for our apartment. I want to make some espresso with them… but I have no clue what I do with the machine. Which I know makes me sound kiiiinda stupid buuuut I would rather get some advice about how to work it before I go wasting all of our packets of espresso.
It’s a Swift espresso, coffee, cappuccino machine which I’m sure isn’t the most top of the line machine but I’m fairly positive it’ll get the job done as long as I know how to do it right!! The only knob it has is on the side and it goes one way to work the foamer and the other way to make the coffee/espresso.
I would just like some help, or a walkthrough, of the process it takes to make a good espresso shot. I hope I don’t sound TOO ignorant for you coffee connoisseurs. If someone could just tell me exactly what to do to get the best cup of coffee/espresso that would be GREAT!!!
There aren’t any instructions and I’ve looked online for a users manual and can’t find one.
Plus I came upon a comment someone made to someone else saying it’s a crappy machine altogether.
THAT being said…. I still want to know how to make some espresso so I can at least have some BURNT espresso!!
Although thanks Diana, so far you have the best answer!! I think I’ll try it.
I know it sounds stupid, but I just needed that simple walkthrough to make sure what I was thinking was the right thing to do. Especially the amount of water to use.
How many people buy coffee at places like caribou coffee on a regular basis?
With the way the economy is now, why do you go to caribou as opposed to just going to a gas station or McDonalds and getting a cup of coffee
Who makes the best coffee?
I haven’t been a coffee drinker until as of late…so I am sheltered. Where is the best cup of coffee? I make it at home now and love Folger’s Gourmet Breakfast Blend…it’s so good in the morning and gives me that zing…what’s the best to make at home and what’s the best to buy (ie starbucks, etc.)? Thanks!
Are there any food additives in coffee besides beans and water?
When you buy a cup of coffee at a store or at a gas station, what do they put in the coffee besides coffee beans and water? For example, I have heard that they put preservatives in coffee sometimes. Can coffee contain any vegetable oil products (such as mono-and-diglycerides?) When I eat things with vegetable oil I am convinced I have an adverse reaction, which I think I can get to a slighter degree from drinking coffee, which is why I asked. I am convinved vegetable oil is very unhealthy.
It disgusts me that I have to ask this question.
Does french vanilla cappuccino have more caffeine in it than a regular cup of coffee?
This morning, at the gas station, I filled my mug up with french vanilla cappuccino cause they were pretty much giving it away. It tasted good, probably a 600 calorie cup of coffee too as it was so creamy.
Anyways, I felt weird after my morning coffee this morning. A little extra jittery even. Is that from the sugar or whatever in the cappuccino or is there more caffeine in cappuccino or what?
trouble with my espresso machine?
I hope i’m in the right place to ask my question.
I have an espresso machine that will clog quite often. I mean that the coffee flow is very weak. And it takes forever to fill my cup of coffee.
I clean my brew group every other coffee and i am suppose to do it once a week!
I use a dark roast coffee(Sumatra). Should i use a medium roast, this way the bean is not as oily as the dark roast and it won’t clog my brew group as much?
Any suggestions?
Is there a good espresso for a Keurig machine?
I’m looking for real espresso, not a blend, but a true Italian cup of coffee. You know what I mean, the little cups…..Thanks for your help.
