Espresso shot attempt with my new Rancilio Silvia
One of my first attempts to get a good shot of espresso from my new Rancilio Silvia. I think this shot was a little slow, perhaps due to tamping too hard? Suggestions and comments welcomed! More details on this shot: Coffee: Lavazza Crema e Aroma Grinder: Rancilio Rocky, set to 6. (I tried 9, 8 and 7 and had troubles with the shots being a little too fast).

betterguideforyou.com — Top Choices Of Espresso Machines Excellent value for the price About a year ago I wanted an espresso machine that was easy to use, however I was unwilling to pay 1k or more for a fully automatic machine. The Capresso turned out to be an excellent value, providing ease of use with semi-automatic ground disposal and a reasonably sized water container. In fact, we have experienced only two problems with the Capresso since we bought it: a torn o-ring and clogging. The o-ring tore because I did not clean the rotation mechanism for several months. The accumulated grounds eventually tore into the o-ring, breaking the pressure seal. However, when I called the Capresso help line to discuss our broken o-ring, the help desk agent immediately sent us two replacements in the mail with no questions asked. Total down time for the machine was a mere two days. The clogging was fixed with a complete cleaning, and if truth be told, it did say in the instruction booklet not to use very finely ground coffee. Our last espresso machine, besides breaking after two years, was so difficult to use and clean we only made espresso on special occasions. The Capresso is convenient enough that we use it all the time. In fact, we have used our Mr. Coffee only twice (note the broken o-ring comment above) since we bought the Capresso. After a year of use, I can still strongly recommend this product. To get more about espresso machine, please visit : betterguideforyou.com

What's the best way to make coffee with beans but no grinder?
I have some coffee beans, but no grinder. What’s the best way to make coffee with just beans. At best I can probably smash them up a bit by hand. To make the coffee I can boil water on the stovetop, but I don’t have an fancy coffeemakers either.
As you’re wondering: no, I didn’t buy the beans myself. No, I don’t have a blender or other fancy kitchen devices, and I don’t want to buy any for the sake of a handful of free coffee beans.

betterguideforyou.com — Getting The Best Coffee Machine Absolutely the best!!! Has anyone ever gone to a diner, coffee shop or convienence store and drank the coffee and wondered how you can make this excellent tasting coffee at home? Well I have and I have to say that after going through 6 or more coffee devices, percolators, drip and yes even was desperate by drinking instant, I’ve finally found the one machine that duplicates the rich and wonderful taste that you find in the diner, coffee shop etc. I’m in heaven! It’s very easy to use if you READ THE INSTRUCTIONS. Yes, the reservoir is always on keeping water hot, unless you don’t plan on using it for a few days. But it makes sense since it seems this is the best way to maintain that critical temperture you need to make that rich flavored cup. I’m sure there are other machines that can do this as well, but I’ve been through enough of them and almost gave up because of the disappointed flavor I was getting. I’ve had Farberware percolators which came the closest to what I was looking for but sometimes I left it on… gooey mess at the bottom of the machine and a major clean up. The last machine was a Cusinart, that stainless steel machine that basically was just to look nice on the counter. The coffee was horrible and never hot enough. I gave up at that point and went to Folgers instant, which tasted better than that Cusinart machine. I decided to give it one more try and I’m ecstatic that I did. I even used some old …
how to make a stovetop espresso part 1
i will show you how to make a stove top espresso from the beginning to end.also the best type of bean to use.after viewing part 1 go to part 2 to see the final results.. for this demo i am using coffee beans bought from the costa coffee shop (GRADE 5) WHICH ARE THE STONGEST YOU CAN GET.always grind your own beans when possible and use a very fine grind.a BURR grinder will give the best results but you can use any type of grinder as long as you make sure of a very fine grind..use your favourite beans and also experiment with different beans from other countries but for espresso always uses a stong bean(longer roasted)good luck and enjoy your coffee.just a small detail…the pot is usually sold and marketed as a espresso maker but true espresso requires at least 14 bars of pressure which cannot be achieved on a stove..i would prefer to call it a very strong cup of coffee.(thought i had better point that out because there are a lot of coffee experts about that would say the same…some people call it a MOCHA
How can I decide which espresso machine to buy?
I’m actually asking for my wife who drinks iced cappuccinos every day. We bought a simple one as a starter, but she uses it every day and I think it’s time for an upgrade. I don’t know much, other than I need a water pump. The budget I had in mind was maybe 200-300 dollars.. plus a grinder..
Thanks
