I have been making espresso style drinks with my french press, and dark roast coffee, lattes and mochas, but I don’t get the foam on the top like at a coffee shop, are there any ways to steam milk with out the fancy equipment? I’ve tried boiling it in the microwave, but still no foam.

I was wondering what the difference is between espresso and coffee??I dont really care for coffee all that much but i kind of like drinks like at Starbucks and stuff with flavor and espresso shots in it or something. Can the machines make stuff like that? And what do the espresso shots do? Do they give you energy and like how many should you take. Honestly, i just like making drinks and stuff, if i dont really like coffee will it be dumb for me to get a espresso machine..i would make them they way i wanted…I was looking at the espresso machines on walmart.com from 30-200$ thats all i would spend..What do you guys think. and also please tell me the difference between cappacino, macchiato, and lattes and stuff

I’ve always gotten lattes and frappes and everything but never just had black coffee from there, what’s the best kind? Cream or sugar added or no?

I want to make egg nog lattes with my home espresso machine, from home made egg nog. I figure a good way to kill any bacteria is to steam it just like you normally do with a latte anyway! My question is what temperature, and how long does it have to be at that temp to kill the bacteria?

I want to be able to make my own lattes, and am registered for the Breville® Cafe-Roma® Espresso/ Cappuccino Machine at Bed Bath & Beyond. First, can I make lattes with this? Second, do I have to get a special machine to grind espresso beans also? If so, where do I find one? Thanks!

I LOVE Vanilla lattes from Starbucks, but I cannot afford to buy one every day. I have a keurig coffee maker and the reusable K-cup. Can I put espresso beans in the k cup and run it through the machine then add vanilla syrup and steamed milk to make a latte??

I am looking for a coffee machine to makes espresso, cappucino and lattes at the same time. However, most machines I come across only make espresso and cappucinno. And I understand that the steps to makes cappucinno and lattes are quite similar. So can I use a cappucinno maker to make lattes too?

This is going to be my next big purchase! If I get a good tax refund, I’m sure I’ll use it towards this!
I want to get one so I can not only make drip coffee but also make my own lattes and cappucinos. Even if I get a nice one it’ll be cheaper in the long run than going to Starbucks a few times a week.
I would like it to cost less than 0. A tiny bit higher would be ok if it’s a fantabulous one. I would also like it to be easy to use and reliable. All I need it to do is make espresso, steam milk, and make drip coffee.
I like the looks of the Mr Coffee ECM21 after checking it out at Walmart. But then I looked on Amazon.com and it only had like three stars, just an ok rating. People either loved it or hated it. I don’t want to be one of the ones who hates it, that’s down the drain. I would rather spend twice that much on something I love than lose that money on something I hate.

Ok, so I shouldn’t look for a true espresso to be made by this machine. That’s ok, cause I don’t drink straight espresso, I combine it with steamed milk for a latte or use it in recipes. SIDE NOTE: I make an awesome flourless mocha truffle torte; and with espressoish stuff I won’t have to use instant coffee granules or drip coffee, neither of which quite work as well as espresso would.
All I really want is something that’ll foam the milk, make something stronger than drip coffee for the uses I specified, and save counter space by having a drip coffeemaker built in. Reccommendations based on that?
Ok, thanks for the advice on frothing without a frother! Sounds just like whipping cream, well worth the effort but exhausting! Except with heat. Would I need milk with fat in it for this to work? Cause my family only buys skim milk and lowfat soy milk. The barista at my favorite cafe told me that soy milk froths even better than whole milk, true?

I love white mochas but they’re aren’t any coffee shops near me. I have a coffee maker and espresso machine but can’t find a decent recipe for mochas, lattes, and espressos. Help please!

I bought a Black and Decker Home Cafe machine that uses coffee pods. On the box it says you can make skinny lattes and cappuccino with it. I can’t seem to find any coffee pods that make these. Does anyone know if there are any available?

I love to drink lattes but hate to pay for one at Starbucks every day. I have made strong coffee with steamed milk and it’s not too bad. Can I just buy espresso and make it in my coffee maker?

I’ve heard good things about Kean and Javatinis. They both roast their own and are supposed to make really good lattes. Can anybody comment on their experiences or perhaps suggest another place. Good espresso is so hard to find, especially in Orange County.

I’m pretty good at navigating the net, but I cannot find a place that tells me exactly what I need! Do I get a grinder for beans? Also, I was going to get a frothing pitcher and a thermometer, do I really need these? I was also looking into getting some of the espresso pods. I know that they won’t taste as good, but it will be great for those mornings when I’m in a rush! The pods say that your machine has to be designed to accept "ESE" coffee pods. I was looking at the machine’s manual online and couldn’t find this anywhere. Is there anything else I need? Oh and by the way, I usually drink lattes and stuff like that. It would also be desireable if it came w/ a milk pitcher to steam w/ and some shot glasses. or demitasse cups (either works). the one i have is loud and u have to wait for a green light to steam or brew (which i hate). and u have to measure the espresso shots w/ out glasses. anyway i just want an easy to operate machine i can make lattes w/

I need a good espresso machine that isn’t extremely expensive. Also the frother needs to be perfect. I love making drinks other than lattes and cappuccinos so it has to be able to get my drink up to 195 degrees without a lot of fuss. Thanks. Also I would like to get it with a warranty.

I’m looking for an espresso machine that will produce high quality espresso for lattes, and that has a built in steamer. I’m hoping to stay under 0 total for the machine and the grinder.
