i am going to purchase my own mini expresso machine because i am sick of paying 4$ for a soy-latte. my first question is, if i purchase it, do i have to get a milk frother as well?

^ that is the one i am buying.. i am just hoping i put the milk and it froths it and adds expresso so that its easy. do you know if that’s what it would do??

also – if i use soy-vanilla do you think that i’d still have to add a vanilla syrup or is the vanilla in the milk enough

I bought a Mr Coffee cappuccino/espresso machine for my husband for christmas, he wants french vanilla cappuccino like at the gas stations, rich and creamy. Do I use french vanilla coffee or something else?

I had Krups and it pooped out on me after about a year, and my Mr. Coffee is on its last days.
Tried to find a Consumer Goods category but there isn’t one.

The instructions on my machine are very confusing. On the glass carafe, it has markings for 2 cups and 4 cups. But, making 2 cups is more than a shot, which is supposed to be 1-1.5 oz, right? The 2 cup mark is like 5 oz of liquid. Should I cut back on the water and coffee just to make 1 shot, even though there isn’t any markings? I have a Mr. Coffee machine; I know, REALLY cheap, but it was a gift. Thanks in advance!

I have a small espresso machine, the Mr. Coffee from Wal-Mart. I’m having trouble steaming the milk the correct way. I guess it’s getting steamed well enough, but when I pour the drink it is always luke-warm at best, usually it’s cold. I thought it may be because the milk is still cold, I dunno. Does anyone have any tips on making espresso drinks the correct way?!
I steam the milk untill the steam stops coming. The machine does kind of suck, I have to brew at least 2 servings to get any kind of steam, it just quits before the milk is hot enough I guess.

This is going to be my next big purchase! If I get a good tax refund, I’m sure I’ll use it towards this!
I want to get one so I can not only make drip coffee but also make my own lattes and cappucinos. Even if I get a nice one it’ll be cheaper in the long run than going to Starbucks a few times a week.
I would like it to cost less than 0. A tiny bit higher would be ok if it’s a fantabulous one. I would also like it to be easy to use and reliable. All I need it to do is make espresso, steam milk, and make drip coffee.
I like the looks of the Mr Coffee ECM21 after checking it out at Walmart. But then I looked on Amazon.com and it only had like three stars, just an ok rating. People either loved it or hated it. I don’t want to be one of the ones who hates it, that’s down the drain. I would rather spend twice that much on something I love than lose that money on something I hate.

Ok, so I shouldn’t look for a true espresso to be made by this machine. That’s ok, cause I don’t drink straight espresso, I combine it with steamed milk for a latte or use it in recipes. SIDE NOTE: I make an awesome flourless mocha truffle torte; and with espressoish stuff I won’t have to use instant coffee granules or drip coffee, neither of which quite work as well as espresso would.
All I really want is something that’ll foam the milk, make something stronger than drip coffee for the uses I specified, and save counter space by having a drip coffeemaker built in. Reccommendations based on that?
Ok, thanks for the advice on frothing without a frother! Sounds just like whipping cream, well worth the effort but exhausting! Except with heat. Would I need milk with fat in it for this to work? Cause my family only buys skim milk and lowfat soy milk. The barista at my favorite cafe told me that soy milk froths even better than whole milk, true?

it makes my coffee bitter and burnt.
I have started buying "Mcdonalds" coffee and i wanted to
buy a maker that makes my coffee taste as good as theirs.

I have a Mr. Coffee but the coffee never tastes that great I thought it was the coffee brands that I was buying but I don’t think so because I’ve tried just about all of the ones on the market!!!

my espresso machine managed to "suck up" milk into the main compartment….and I have NO idea how to clean it. This is my machine:

The top of the machine is not open…..there are bars of sort crisscrossing the top…making it impossible to put my hand in, or even a scrubber or rag. When I look inside the machine I can see the milk gunk but rinsing it out will not get it out. Please help!!

There is nothing wrong with a cheap Espresso Machine if you know how to use it and get around. I’m not professional, nor this video. I just want to show people how you can make Espresso at home at very low cost. Basic Ingredient: Coffee, Milk, Chocolate Syrup. Tools: Espresso Machine (Mr.Coffee ECM250), Coffee Tamper, Homemade Can-raiser, Milk container, Shot Glass, Wet Towel. Note: 1 shot = 1.5oz (usually for 1 person) Remember: – Always use distill water (forgot to mention in video). – MUST use a coffee tamper! – Wait for water to get real hot before inserting coffee. – Clean nozzle RIGHT AWAY after steaming the milk. – Always release the pressure after used by opening the nozzle.

I just bought a Mr.Coffee Coffee grinder, blade grinder not burr. I’m new to this grinding coffee at home thing so I don’t know whether I’m getting the best grind, but what I do know is that the end product is in need of improvement. Any useful tips on getting the perfect grind.
