When I was in Morocco my husband's cousin had an espresso machine that had a reservoir for the water and one
for the milk. I haven’t been able to find one like it. All the one’s I’ve seen don’t have a milk reservoir and only have a steaming/frothing wand. I don’t want one like that. Does anyone know where I can get one with the reservoirs I’m looking for? I don’t want to wait for my husband to bring me one from Morocco cuz it will be around a year before he gets here.
I know what hookahs are and it wasn’t a hookah it was an actual espresso machine.
Steaming milk sans Espresso machine?
I am a barrista at an independent coffee shop. Are there any stand alone steamers per se? Just an upright type machine connected to a hot water source complete with steam wand. Anyone know anything of that nature? I’ve done my own little search and found nothing
Do you have to buy an espresso machine to get a steam wand?
I don’t drink coffee at all, so I have no use for a full espresso machine. I drink Chai Tea Latte and Steamers from Starbucks regularly. In trying to make them at home, I find that not having steamed milk makes a big difference in the drink. I can’t seem to find a steam wand machine though. They are always in conjunction with a espresso machine. Just wondering if there are any other options I am missing, or if I am going to have to bite the bullet and get one made for espresso.
Coffee gurus needed! Best espresso machine for a college kid on a budget?
I am a college student, and I work as a barista to help pay for school. I’m entertaining the idea of buying my own small espresso machine, but I don’t really know what kind to get. I’ve only ever used restaurant-grade machines before, and I don’t know what to look for in a small machine. I want it to have a wand, and I want to be able to use ground coffee (no pods).
I see stuff about steam powered vs. pump-powered machines, and shamefully, even though I work in 2 coffeeshops, I don’t know what that means. It sounds to me like pump machines are more powerful than steam-powered ones, but I don’t know if that’s correct.
Also, I need the machine to be cheap…because minimum wage really doesn’t go all that far. So far I like the look of the DeLonghi EC155, which looks like it usually goes for around . Here it is:

Anyway, I’d love to hear everyone’s thoughts, since I don’t really know what I’m doing.
Thanks a lot!
i just bought a new Starbucks Sirena espresso machine and i am unable to get it to fully prime…?

How do I clean my espresso/steamer machine?
My husband bought me one of these guys for Christmas two years ago, and I used it every day for about a month..then put it away…never to be heard from again until today lol. I remember reading in its instruction manual that a once-a-month cleaning is necessary to keep it working great..but i can’t find the manual..and i don’t remember HOW it said to clean it. I usually use watered down white vinegar on my regular coffee maker, but I’m not sure if I can use it on this. If I can, how does it work, do i just let it process through like its brewing espresso? how do I clean the inside of the steam wand? I’d really like to use it again this evening, if at all possible.
Lon, you need to start leaving more than just 1 or 2 word answers to questions, and not just random words that don’t make sense to the question just to get points. Please show some respect.

How do I operate a Gaggia Classic espresso machine?
Don’t have a manual to this thing- it’s an 04, stainless, two red toggle buttons on front, a plastic container behind where the cups go. I’m assuming to fill water/milk. There is an opening on the top-black plastic. Has a black knob on right side, a steamer wand ( I think) on left and a L shaped handle on right. Need a step by step tutorial please. Thanks alot!!!
Hi, I was wondering what type of valve would be used to throttle steam in espresso machine steam wands?
The valve is required on the steam wand of an espresso machine. It is to open and close after being switched on and throttle steam coming from a boiler without reducing the pressure in the boiler significantly.
What is a good espresso machine for under $100?
Not one that is steam driven, at the very Least a 9 bar, that makes at least 4 ounces/2 espressos at a time, with a frothing wand, and a cup warmer wouldn’t be out of bounds!
I have another question. Can you use just plain coffee grounds or do you have to have it specially ground? if you do on some models, I want one that allows you to use plain coffee grounds.
What is a good home espresso machine for an experienced barista?
I’m pretty good with my tamping and timing, but since retiring from being a barista at a small coffeehouse, I miss the espresso. After looking around I have been fairly disappointed with the junk espresso machines that are being pushed right now.
What I’m looking for is an espresso maker that does not auto-tamp, has a hot waterspout, a steam wand, manual steam control (for the group head), and a hefty portafilter.
Where can I find such one that is not junk?

What is a good, somewhat inexpensive espresso machine?
I am considering buying an espresso machine for my dorm room next year, yes my dorm room. My college’s coffee shop is disgusting. They use pre-ground Folgers for the espresso, among many other things. I’ve been a barista for two years and know the difference between a really good latte and one that tastes like mud, so quality is important to me.
What is a good, relatively inexpensive (less than 0) espresso machine with a steaming wand that I could buy?
